Acne Solutions For Different Parts of the Body

Acne solutions for pimples that appear on the shoulders, back, jawline and other parts of the body are primarily the same as the ones used on facial zits. Because facial acne is more common, we sometimes forget that spots appearing on other parts of the body should also be cured. Moreover, some of these zits are hidden by clothing so we usually don't bother.

Acne solutions, though, are also needed for breakouts that appear in other parts of the body since they are basically the same as pimples that appear on the face. Ways of preventing zits from appearing on the back, shoulders and jaw are discussed below, together with some of the more common recommended solutions.

Causes of acne on the back, jawline, neck, arms and shoulders are the same as those of facial acne. These spots' appearance can all be traced back to thriving acne-causing bacteria called Propionibacterium acnes. What makes these pimples worse, however, are a different set of factors.

Lose That Chin Acne Now!

Chin acne can be particularly painful, apart from being unsightly, right up there at the 'front' of your face. It is particularly difficult if the bumps or lesions release pus or leave scars and they can be painful as well. Is it any different from other acne? What can you do to fix chin acne? The problem with chin acne can be just as bad for adults too because the issue is one that has a tendency to change as hormonal changes occur. In fact, it is hormonal changes that leads to most chin acne, starting with puberty and the premenstrual cycles,...Read Full Story

One of the factors that could make back acne worse is tight clothing. Tight clothes trap sweat between the cloth and the skin, causing acne on the back to get irritated which can even lead to inflammation. If you are fond of wearing tight clothes, make it a habit to shower regularly and keep your skin clean. Using bath oils and body lotion can also help freshen up the skin, not only on the back, but also on your shoulders and arms.

Another culprit that can make an already existing acne problem worse is long, unwashed hair. Hair that is infrequently shampooed or washed and worn long and loose can aggravate zits on the jaw, on the back and on the shoulders. Keeping your hair clean is a must if you want to keep it long and you want to maintain a pimple-free skin at the same time.

Medications for back, jaw, shoulders and arm acne are mostly the same as those used on the face. However, since the area that will be covered is wider than that of the face, topical ointments can take a long time to apply. If acne is on the back, most dermatologists will likely recommend a soap that the patient can use when bathing. Sulfur soaps are the most common back acne solutions recommended by skin specialists. If the area where the zit appears is also hard to reach, oral antibacterials or antibiotics can be prescribed. Solutions that can be mixed with bath water are also commonly used for back, arms and shoulder acne to save the patient from the trouble of having to bend backwards to reach the pimples.

Acne solutions for non-facial acne are made of the same ingredients as those used on the face. However, they are mostly formulated in such a way that they can be mixed with the person's bath water. Oral medications are also another option. If you have the budget and the time, going to a spa and having it treated by a skin attendant is another alternative.
